Accurate readings are available in 4 to 5 seconds.

    Pro Tip: During first use, the protective sheath for the stainless steel probe can be difficult to remove. Hold the thermometer with one hand and use the other hand to firmly grip, twist and pull downward to remove the sheath from the probe.
